Peru Jungle Medicine CME – Treehouse Lodge Experience
April 3 – April 10, 2027
Experience the Amazon rainforest from a perspective few travelers ever see — the tree-top canopy. This 7-night, nearly all-inclusive jungle medicine CME experience is based at a private luxury treehouse lodge in the Peruvian Amazon, located at the confluence of the protected Yarapa and Cumaceba rivers near the Pacaya Samiria Reserve.
Each morning begins eye-to-eye with monkeys and birds as the rainforest comes alive around you. Guests stay in elevated private treehouse bungalows, offering relief from jungle heat and humidity while maintaining modern comforts including showers, sinks, toilets, and clean white linens. The elevation provides airflow, privacy, and immersion without sacrificing comfort.
This course blends a tropical adventure with hands-on wilderness and jungle medicine education. Educational sessions are integrated into daily life at the lodge while participants explore the Amazon through guided activities including jungle walks, canoeing, wildlife viewing, and cultural experiences. The environment itself becomes the classroom, reinforcing medical decision-making in austere and remote settings.
Designed for medical professionals and adventurous travelers alike, this experience removes the stress of logistics and planning. Guests enjoy a seamless stay with meals, lodging, activities, and education coordinated on site — allowing participants to focus fully on learning, exploration, and connection.
This is not a traditional conference.
This is an immersive jungle medicine experience that combines education, adventure, and once-in-a-lifetime access to one of the world’s most biologically rich environments.

The Experience
The Experience
This is not a conference — it’s a jungle immersion.
Over seven nights in the Peruvian Amazon, you’ll live in a private luxury treehouse lodge suspended in the rainforest canopy near the Pacaya Samiria Reserve. Days are spent exploring the jungle through guided activities while learning and practicing tropical and wilderness medicine in the very environment where these skills apply. Education is integrated naturally into daily life, creating an experience that feels immersive rather than classroom-driven.
You’ll wake each morning to wildlife moving through the treetops at eye level — monkeys, birds, and the constant rhythm of the rainforest surrounding your elevated bungalow. Despite the remote setting, comfort is not sacrificed. Each treehouse is equipped with showers, sinks, toilets, and clean white linens, offering an airy retreat above the jungle floor with relief from heat and humidity.
Learn Where It Counts
Medical education is delivered in small-group format by experienced Wild Med Adventures faculty, focusing on injuries and illnesses commonly encountered during remote travel and tropical environments. Sessions emphasize practical decision-making, assessment, stabilization, and evacuation — reinforced through daily jungle excursions and real-world context.
